Re: noone ever tells or talks about the coyote LIGHT they use.. please help Im in the

iv got a 10 million candle power made by cyclops that lights up the night pretty good but dont have a red filter for it so usually when you fire it up, everything heads for the hills. and its also great for warming up tortillas when ur guts are running on empty. only bad thing is when ur running on battery, it only last about 10 or 15 minutes on high and 25 to 30 max on low. it needs to stay pluged in for the most part. they run about 80$ at cabelas. iv even seen dog the bounty hunter use one. hes the reason i bought it. im trying to grow a mullet so i can be cool like him...hahahahah j\k..ing

I only use the Lightforce lights. They are the best built ones out there.

Lightforce - Handheld Lights

They have so many benefits over all other lights I have used. They have helped me win calling contests and place in the top 5, 3 other times.

First, they are light weight and easy to handle. Push button on and off switch, which I like a lot. They have rotating reflector housing that turns to flood or spot to focus light or broaden it out. You can change bulbs from 30 W to 100 W.

They have great accesories too. You can buy a battery pack for them with a dimmer switch, which allows getting away from the truck for calling, picking up the animal, etc. Next is the rifle mounting bracket for a scope and a mounting bracket for a shotgun too.

I personally run the 170 Strikers and the Walkabout kit. I have 2 of the 170 lights one for handheld in truck or with battery pack and one on my AR15 223 for night follow up and recover. I have actually shot many coyotes walking out to pick up the downed one, turning one into a double !

I believe in these so much, that I became a dealer for them this past fall. Let me know if you have any questions.....

Actually, it is one of the best spots for it....

Think of it this way, do you know when you get your X-mas pictures back and see all the RED EYE in the kids eyes ??? Well, this is because the lens and flash are on the same plane or axis as each other. The light goes out and bounces straight back....

Same thing you are trying to accomplish while spotlighting. You want and need that light to bounce straight back. If you have done much calling with a partner or spotlighting out of a truck, you know how many times your partner sees the eyes on his side, but you can't because you are not behind the light ? A lot ! Also, when trying to find the animal in the scope, you need the light on the same plane for the eyes to reflect back to you. Same thing as having partner hold light above or near the scopes angle of view.

If you have an off camera flash and use it or bounce the light off the ceiling red eye in your pictures goes away.... Same thing, if you move spotlight at an angle away from the shooter, the predators eyes go away...

The battery with the dimmer switch and 30 W bulb will run 1 1/2 hours. Great run time while out hunting....

Re: noone ever tells or talks about the coyote LIGHT they use.. please help Im in the

I think that using s scope mounted light would make it easier to get on that animal rather then my hunting buddy has to be ready at the same time i am also there is no tryin to work with a hand held that you may shine anywhere but the animal. It seems that a light pointing whene you pull the gun up is good,, the light is already on the predator..... i guess there is good and bad to all kinds,
I have never hunted out of the back of a truck like some ppl say.. i mean what you use a person to just look with the light till you see eyes?

Re: noone ever tells or talks about the coyote LIGHT they use.. please help Im in the

i think its funner with friends cuz you get to blame each-other about screwin up and laugh about it later. i like being a successful hunter and all, but i enjoy the comradory much more. cant wait till my boy gets alittle older, wife says 2.5 is still alittle young. maybe next year...
