Newbie with call questions

I am gonna give coyote hunting a whirl this winter. Curious about what I need for calls. I will be hunting more open prairie mostly with rolling hills. Do I just need some hand calls or do I need the big electronic ones? I have seen just the handheld electronic ones, do they work worth a darn? Obviously, I am guessing the big electronic calls with all the bells and whistles work best, but starting out, can I get away with a handheld electronic or some that you blow on? Tell me some tactics and whatnot. I'm pretty fresh at this calling then. Usually just shoot them when I happen to stumble across them, never actually took the time to dedicate to coyote hunting itself. Thanks for the input.
