Hey guys, joined in September and lurked this forum a lot! I'm hoping to be able to learn and build a couple rifles and gain knowledge from everyone. Hope everyone had a great holiday, and have a happy new year!

Ps. I'm from Michigan, primary hunt whitetail deer, I'm looking to start two rifle builds, one for short/mid range, and one to reach out a little further. What's everyone's opinion on the 8.6 blackout out cartridge for suppressed hunting, and 6.5 PRC for longer range?

That's awesome! Thanks for the welcome. Here in Michigan we're allowed to only with straight walled cartridges in certain zones, and "necked" cartridges in others. I hunt in both zones, my current deer calibers are 300 blackout, 350 legend, and 450 bushmaster.
