Because he thought that a lot of animals bit the dust when I was working up in his area - matter of fact they did, for various research studies etc. We never discussed the killing that we did on the job, but Willard had it figured. I had a piece of paper in my wallet that OK'd some pretty hairy stuff. Lots of shooting from choppers etc. Interesting work back in the good old days.
