New member from Wyoming. Enjoy shooting and reloading with my children. How it the hornady 178 eld-x for an elk round out of a 300 win mag?

The range here has targets from 100 to 350. I also like to get some prairie dogs once in a while. I would like to use the eld for elk in a 300 win mag and my sons 30-06.

Also with the protected point it looks like it would have better penetration than a vld hunter
