Later in life and have the time in my life to hunt where and how I've wanted. Have 3 backpack hunts planned this year, Montana Spring Bear, Idaho Elk and Arizona Coues Deer. Having Summit Rifles build me a 280AI and am turning here to gain some knowledge and good stories.

Regarding your Idaho elk hunt. This year I never travelled so many miles and saw so few elk. I was really down on Idaho.

THEN, winter came and there are 100s of elk concentrated behind my house. The said thing is these elk came from the areas I hunted.

What can a fella say?
