G'day again from Australia,

Did a bit of reading up on the forum about my following queries but thought id post anyway... iv just ordered the Howa 1500 in the GRS stock (link below) in .243 - 24" varmint tube 1:10 twist.
https://www.legacysports.com/catalog/howa/howa-grs/
Iv requested a quote from my local gunsmith to re-barrel with a 26" varmint in 1:8 twist and a possibility of going .243 Ackley improved with a bit of trigger work.
I plan on using this rifle for targets out to 1000yrd and also knockin over small critters on the farm.
- Has anyone used the GRS Berserk stock platform?
- would the added expense of going AI vs standard .243 be worth the trouble?
- 1:8 twist be suitable for use of 105gr hornady / 107gr SMK's etc.

Id appreciate any info or feedback about this set up & caliber choice. Looking to keep it on the 'budget' side, so that was my reasoning behind the Howa & GRS package. At this point ill be mating it with a 20moa rail and a 5-25x50 Zeiss Conquest HD5 RZ1000 scope.
