Thanks! It was a guided boar hunt in northern California, near Redding (place called Red Bank Ale & Quail--great guides and accommodations). I ended up with a 150-175 lb sow. Shot it with a 300 WSM at about 70 yds. I was in a ground blind overlooking a wallow when a sounder of about 10 boar came through at last light.

Welcome from N/E Ohio. As a teen; I used to hunt jackrabbits in the fields west of Friant dam. Lots of mangy rabbits and rattlers. ;-)
