My name is Keith and I am from the Everett, Washington area and I was brought here by an ad on riverofguns.com in my search for a rifle I have dreamed about for quite a while, a Marlin 1895 SBL. I know its the wrong time to be looking but its a sickness, once I see something I want it becomes all encompassing. I look forward to exploring this site more!

Welcome to the forum!! What kind of shooting do you like to do these days?

I have been getting into clay/skeet lately and but overall target shooting in practical/ tactical scenarios, I have been trying to get into deer, bear and turkey hunting over the last couple years but with work I hadn't had a lot of time. Recently, I completed the two year journey to getting my Bachelors degree so time has been even more limited! I hope to get into it more in the next couple years!

I'm with you on the 1895SBL, been looking off and on for about a year. Also from Washington, Bothell area and new to this site as well. Welcome, cool to see someone local on here!

I am beginning to think the SBL hunt may be a futile one lol. Being from Bothell, do you know what s going on with DJ's Loan and Sport? They don't seem to be open anymore, I hope it is just precautions for the Rona... I loved that place!

Not sure, never did go check them out. Typically used precise shooter, C.A.R, and west coast for any FFL.

Djs had been open. but mostly in the mornings. I think they were closing at 3pm. I was just there about three weeks ago and picked up a 7mm Wby Mag they had that had never been shot. Was planning on going back this week to get the last of the 7mm Wby Mag ammo they had on hand and a couple of boxes of .240 Wby Mag they picked up from an estate sale.

I'm in the LFP area and shoot at both Kenmore and Everett (where I'm a member).
