Hi All, new to the site and about to try my hand at some long range hunting and target shooting..
Here in Tasmania we have Fallow Deer and wallabies to hunt.
I have just picked up a bushnell 4200 6-24x40 to put on my Howa 300 win mag. Its setup for hunting deer at the moment, and is easily capable at 300 mtrs, which is the longest shot thats been availble. I am hoping to stretch this out to around 800 on the wallabies and 1000 on paper. I have it in a boyds stock and it shoots pretty well IMHO. I am planning to use 168grn Hornady Z max projectiles.
Well I had better get reading some of these threads to get more info and ideas.
