Yes, it is made for 1911 gov model full size . I have the exact same holster for my M&P .45 and wear it constantly while working on the ranch I manage , they are very comfortable and keep the gun tight to your chest and out of the way , it is easy to forget the gun is there . Very well made holsters . I am only selling this one as I sold my 1911 about the same time this holster showed up , so never got to use it .
