Hey guys, new to the forum but not new to shooting. I though I would share my newest build on an AR platform. My son turned 5 back in December and I decided to build him an AR (6.5 Grendel) due to his short LOP. This gun will also get double duty as a range toy and a treestand gun for me during our rifle season.

Laser etched mag catch with my sons name

I duracoated the gun Aged Bronze and have been very pleased with the outcome. Durability is yet to be determined. I have not had a chance to check accuracy yet as I'm still waiting on the bolt.

Hope my kid doesn't read this. Made sure he passed hunter safety when he was six. Taught him to shoot before he was seven. He used dad's rifles and pistols until he was old enough to buy his own. Oh well. He's 52 this year ... perhaps he'll forgive the old man.
