Need 338 Edge "dummy round"

I am having my 300 wm re barreled to 338 edge. My smith wants a dummy round. I will be using a seekins BDM and loading em out to 3.900 COAL I will likely use 300 GR Berger Tactical. If anyone use a similar set up I'd like to buy a dummy round off of you no primer or powder just brass and bullet seated.

the only rounds that have been thru it are the berger hybrids. same round ill send you in the dummy round. im pretty sure they are close enough to the berger 300 gr tactical rounds for your purpose. if im am wrong hopefully someone that has shot both will chime in before i send you the dummy round.

The hybrids is what I meant not tactical so that will be perfect.

TI wouldnt try 3.900 off the bat... i would have gone like 3.830 or something so u have room to chase the throat without having to single shot.. if u start out at ur max mag length u will be single ahootin after a while.. my 2 cents

I am just breaking mine in.....My OAL is 4.1", but I intended to single feed right from the git-go. If you hit a glitch in getting your dummy let me know. I will simply shorten the OAL on my dummy and send it to you..free.

Your saying chamber a bit shorter so when I get some erosion I can seat it a bit longer to chase the throat and stay in the mag? I was actually thinking of starting about .040 off the lands to do my OCW load work up. Using the OTM's to get a little more forgiving load.

Ya well if u set ur throat .060 shorter than mag length u will be golden.. my otms like. 015 jump
