Minox spotting scope

I am thinking of buying Minox spotting scope I am looking at the 16x30 X50compact for about 299.00 or a 20 x40X62 larger one for 799.00. I read that they are from Germany which leads me to think they should be good to very good and clear optics but I would like to hear what others have expierenced. Thanks for any info.
