Why not just split the difference on the heights from front & rear of turret bell (2.08" & 1.99" avg = 2.035")? Id be concerned with measuring from the hole in the center of elevation turret protruding so much further out from bolt where you may have a greater error in aligning your eye from calipers to bolt.
