I have reached out to Mack Bros twice with no response to find out if a Remington 700 barrel will fit the EVO II action does anyone know if they will work. thanks

pretty sure it's the same thread pitch but headspace will need to be done by a smith
thank you, going to have the barrel re-bored by Jess to .366 and have my gunsmith chamber it to 9.3x62 and lengthen the chamber for longer bullet seating and install the barrel

My Mack Bros. long action Evo 2 wears a Remage prefit barrel with Barrel Nut. Like the Savage system but Remington threads. If you don't go Remage you will need a gunsmith for headspace but I think some barrel makers make a shouldered prefit for the Evo 2. Mine is very accurate.

How much is that going to run?
Would it be cheaper to go with a new higher quality barrel blank to start?

What do you mean by "fit my action"? Not sure how they'd thread the action to the barrel without also wanting to do the chambering, that's a bit of bass-ackwardness to have to different people do the job at separate times. Any competent smith can cut tenon threads on a blank, you don't have to have the barrel manufacturer do it.

You should check with Pac-Nor. Great people, great barrels, more than willing to work with pretty much every crazy idea I've floated past them. Looks like $400 for a 9.3mm blank, can do 8 10 or 12 twist, in stainless Super Match grade.

They also chamber and fit if you want them to, but I prefer to only source blanks and have the detail work done locally. I've had them cut muzzle treads and crown for me and their work appears to be good quality though.
