Does anyone still do hydro dipping? I have a browning cynergy o/u that I stripped the silly duratouch off of and now would like to re dip it. Having trouble finding people still in the business. Any recommendations ?

Probably not what you want, But it very user friendly and requires very little maintenance. Try a antique plum brown. I've done several side by side and one over and under. It looks good and you don't have to do anything to it other than wipe off the grime.
I'm in the process of refinishing a single shot10 gauge. Just waiting on it to warm up so I can get the old blue off. I don't have a indoors shop.
All that's required is a propane torch and sponges, and be very close to a water supply. I do it in the kitchen sink when the wife is gone. Takes about twenty minutes for a side by side barrel. Steel frame is a little more time to heat. But about15 minutes. Set over night hanging over paper towels to catch the oil drips. Wipe off the next day, good to go.

I used mid Ohio hydro to do a savage slug gun and they did a good job. Afterwards I tried to do a Remington 700 myself with a DIY kit and wasn't happy with the results and decided to sponge paint it. Much better now.

I think Browning may do it for you with a no dura-touch finish if you ask.

I appreciate all the input. I don't mind sending it off to be dipped. I am not a handy/tinkering type so I have to pay to okay. I and the 3rd owner of the firearm and browning won't touch it. Understandably so just not an option for this situation n
