Columbus Sportsman's Association is once again offering their Long Range Training Class. Sportsman, Hunter, and others interested in long range shooting can benefit from this class.

When: 9:00 am. to 4:00pm. Saturday January 9th. 2016.
What you will learn…
1. Mil Dot and MOA systems of measurement.
2. Exterior Ballistics.
3. Ranging Distance.
4. Reading the Wind.
5. Putting it all together to make the shot at any distance.
What you will need….
Study Materials
1. Paper or notebook.
2. Calculator.
3. Pen & Pencil.
At the Range…
1. A rifle* you can comfortably shoot 50 rounds with that has a scope suitable for long range.
2. A spotting scope if you need one.
3. 50 rounds of the same ammo. No Full Metal Jackets Please.
4. Rest, Bi-Pod, and or bags you intend to use.
5. Ear & Eye protection.
Class Breakdown
9:00 am. – 12:00 pm. Classroom instruction.
12:00 pm. – 4:00 pm. Range qualification. (25-200 yards.) If the class finishes early I will open the 600 yard range for use by qualified participants.
Suggested pre-class study. Long Range Shooting Simulation
* Rifle must shoot groups of 2" or less at 100 yards.
Class Fee: $50.00, Cash or Check payable to Columbus Sportsman's Association.
