I would appreciate it if anyone could share their accuracy load for the 230 grain Berger in the 300 RUM. I am currently shooting the Berger 210's with the Nosler brass, 215 Fed. primers, and 89 grains of Retumbo powder and getting around 1/2 MOA groups. Berger's reloading manual for the 230 gr. Berger calls for starting at 79.5 grains of Retumbo powder up to a maximum load of 89.2 grains.
I have been thinking about using the ladder method first to help determine my accuracy node and to see where I start seeing pressure signs at. One question I have is should I start out around 80 grains and work up in 1/2 grain increments or just go with 1 grain increments? As expensive and as hard as it is to get reloading components I would like to avoid a lot of unnessecary experimenting.
Your advice and imput is very much appreciated.
