Looking for a lightweight or ultralight bolt rifle in .308 Win or 6.5x284 caliber. I know these aren't the sexiest calibers these days, but it's what I want. Needs to be under 6 pounds bare, and preferably under 5.5 pounds. Rifles I like are:
Cooper Backcountry M92
Rifles Inc Strata
NULA 20
Maybe a Kimber Mountain Ascent
Would also consider customs

Brands not really interested in are Savage, Bergara, Tikka & Browning. Open on price; the market always dictates price. Condition of the rifle must be excellent. Synthetic stocks only. If you have something I might be interested in, please send m a PM. Don't respond to the thread with your offering because the vultures are always lurking! LOL. Hope you can help me out. Thanks.

The Element is a good looking rifle, but the stock is wrong for me. The vertical grip stocks like the Seekins, McMillan Game Hunter, etc. all have a large palm swell in the grip. My short, stubbing hands just don't fit these kind of stocks. So I only use sporter style stocks with the thinner grip area. But thank you for the suggestion. Still looking!

You might specify if you want 6.5 x 284 Norma or 6.5 X 284 WIN. Norma is factory ammo available. As far as I have seen Win you have to reload for.

Same here i have a 6.5 prc in the element. I would love to add another seekins to the collection, specifically a 6 creedmoor. But can't find one anywhere!

I love my seekins. I hunt with it more than my customs lol.
