Took We The People out after work this evening to start working up a load. It's was a cold 27 degrees outside but it was worth the cold fingers. Here's where I stopped at when it started to get dark on me. She's still wants more powder.

Attended Jeff Hankins 2025 'Polar Bear' shoot today. No competition….just shooting steel out 450 yards and eating some REALLY good food. Here's few of the rifles that were in action today. Check out the velocity for the 'We The People' rifle! (last one pictured). That's with a 350gr Pittman Aeromax, folks! (and that's not even near the top of the ladder)

Am I reading that right - a 350 grain bullet at 3900 fps? Hardly even seem possible. I brag to people about my SML pushing out a 300 grain bullet at 3000 fps. Would you mind telling me what charge you're using for that?
Granted, it was 100 years or so ago, but the holy grail used to be to get a 50 grain .224 bullet to hit 3000 fps, hence cartridges like the 22-3000 Lovell wildcat. Then the Savage 250-3000 was a big deal after that.

The rifle (and all that wicked velocity) belongs to @buckeye68. I doubt the charge-weight will be disclosed, though. Heck, not even "I" am privy to that information.

I am sure it's built a bit different compared to a standard rifle. Heavy barrel with much bigger breech end 1.4 or so. Just Guessing. Maybe he will come back and tell us about his build

A buddy and I put together a 30/378 Weatherby for Heavy Bench Rest that weights 62 lbs.
But does not compare to what He's shooting.
