I love the rifle but have a 7mm mag for this size game. Looking to sell to build a 338 Lapua unless someone has a custom 338 for trade.

Is that a Rock Creek #4 sporter or a #4 target? What does it weight?

I am not sure on the barrel as I am just going from the description Dallas sent me when I inquired about purchasing it. I think its the target because it has deep spiral fluting. I purchased this gun new from Dallas Lane after it was almost finished, so I didn't get to select components. Frankly, I didn't care as I knew it would meet his 1/2 moa guarantee and be light enough to carry. Bare rifle weight from the description from Dallas when I inquired about the gun is 7lbs. I have the heavy nightforce 5-22x50 on it (not included in sale) and its still very packable.

Just adding info I have responded to so far.
Factory 180 trophy grade Nosler shot great. It has a thread protector and brake.
Recoil on the 210 Berger load he worked up for the gun requires the brake. With the brake it is just loud, but not much recoil.
Shooting the 180 factory ammo, the brake is not needed and recoil is not bad at all.
I used to have a deer lease in Northern Missouri which allowed more opportunities for long range shooting. I killed a buck at 294 yards with this gun and it dropped in its tracks.
I lost the lease, so I no longer need this much rifle for treestand hunting in Arkansas.
This rifle with the 210 Berger load seems best suited for western elk and deer hunting. I am selling this gun and listed that I am open to trade because I have always wanted a 338 Lapua. Now that I have built a short ultralight mountain rifle for treestand hunting and shots inside 350 yds, I don't need this gun.
