Break out the Wet Suits and Goggles and lead line for trolling!

I've seen 30 footers and freezing spray, but in salt water. Can't imagine how fast ice builds in fresh water. Gotten old enough I try not to ever be at sea in that anymore. Almost bit the farm in late 19 near where the scandies went down. Had a typhoon hang right and head towards us for about 8 hrs and make landfall on us instead of 100 miles south of us. 50 knots of wind on a boat is something you don't forget, neither is shallow water 30 footers. Heck deep water 30s suck too.

Maybe I'll head out to Frankfort just to watch. Was out there on Christmas Eve a few years ago and the waves were splashing way over the lighthouse.
Or watch the waves sitting in front of fireplace and 3 fingers by looking at webcams!

They are forecasting 20' + here on Lake Ontario.
