Lab radar resell value ?

Didn't read all four pages, but I think the Labradar didn't get discontinued, they just stopped selling into the US due to tariffs if I had to guess. They are Canadian. They have a new LX model that looks comparable in size, price and function to the Garmin and Athlon. But the V1 is selling for $210 on their website and it says they are shipping to the US again. I just ordered one. I'm not going to use a chronograph enough to justify another $200 for the Athlon or another $300 for the Garmin or Labradar LX.

Opticsplanet has the V1 for $303 https://www.opticsplanet.com/s/labradar
Good luck! As a 2X previous Lab owner all I can say is they were the most cantankerous and user unfriendly *** chronograph I have ever used (I go back about 30 years on chronographs). When the Garmin arrived I jumped on it quick and I am glad I did. It has recorded thousands of shots so far without ever a missed one. Having it connect to my phone app quickly and store all my sessions has been great.
As for the cheap price for one direct from Lab, I think that price is likely with you having to pay the tariffs and you will not actually get it for that.

I don't think I could give away my magneto speed let alone sell it
I jumped on the Garmin as early as I could…and lost a bundle in reselling my Magnetospeed. My friend dragged his feet for another six months until he got to see my Garmin in action. He got about half of what I did for his Magnetospeed. Ouch.

Money aside, the Garmin is fantastic. Today I would give the Athlon a hard look.

I just ordered it, so it's already paid for. $23 shipping. So $232.95 total. I used PayPal, so it's easy to just cancel if they don't hold up their end. I'm not that advanced a user. I just want it to confirm my speed for my crossbow and my rifles so that I have the right info for ballistic calculators. Maybe I'll use it for load development, but probably not. Hopefully its not to cantankerous!

If you are not a "advanced user" you may find the Lab even more difficult to use with any success.
I wish you the best!

LabRadar instructions state the unit won't capture shotshell or slug velocity. Don't explain the why not of it...
I had to use my Oehler optical chronograph to capture Brenneke slug velocities.
Looks like read the instructions, before uses. 🤣 I wonder how many times that goes on?

I have a buddy in BC canada that would buy a used LR for a good price if anyone wants to get rid of it! I use one.

Just got it in the mail. No additional tariff. Haven't tried it yet but I put some batteries in it to see if it powered up. If I can just get some MV for a few loads and my crossbow so I have good values for ballistics calculators, I'll be happy. If I can use it well enough to fine tune some handloads in the spring, I'll be really happy.
