Kestrel Supports AmericanSnipers.org with 48 Donated Kestrel Weather & Environmental Meters from its annual Trade-In, Trade-Up Program

Kestrel encourages customers to trade in any Kestrel Weather & Environmental Meter at this year's SHOT Show and Kestrel will donate the used units to AmericaSnipers.org. This year, Kestrel donated 48 new and refurbished units to the program supporting snipers and designated marksman in more than 150 platoons in the US military.
Boothwyn, PA — Kestrel® Weather & Environmental Meters, manufactured by Nielsen-Kellerman in Southeastern Pennsylvania, is a long-standing supporter of AmericanSnipers.org, an organization dedicated to assisting snipers and designated marksmen in more than 150 sniper platoons of the US military with their specialized gear needs amid budgetary constraints and government cutbacks. As part of its ongoing relationship with AmericanSnipers.org, Kestrel donated 48 new and refurbished units to the program throughout 2014 from customer participation in the "Trade-In, Trade-Up" and "Buy A Kestrel, Give A Kestrel" programs.

The Kestrel "Trade-In, Trade-Up" program encourages customers to trade in their existing Kestrel meter (any model) for a specified value toward a newer or different model. Used Kestrel meters are then refurbished and donated to AmericanSnipers.org. In addition to the refurbished model donations, if a customer requests to purchase any Kestrel meter at full retail price instead of the discounted SHOT show price, a new Kestrel of that same model will be donated to AmericanSnipers.org.

For more than 11 years, AmericanSnipers.org has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in funds and gear for US snipers in all branches of the armed forces. The program has received positive mention in major newspapers in the US and abroad, on several national television news networks and on countless radio broadcasts and internet blog sites.
Visit Kestrel at booth #1946 during SHOT Show to learn more about Kestrel's support of AmericanSnipers.org and to take advantage of the "Trade-In, Trade-up" and "But A Kestrel, Give A Kestrel" program. AmericanSnipers.org will also have a booth space, L338 on the 3rd floor by the press room.

The Kestrel website says that this new device is good out to only 800yards. Is that correct?

Not that anyone was asking. I'd like to see a weather module that plugs into an iPhone (someone already makes a wind meter like that) and sends real time data to the AB app.
