Keeping in shape

It is our off season in South Africa and to keep in shape, I am on shooting ranges on Saturdays. This is the results of last Saturday, shooting at a gong 500 meters away. The yellow dots are my shots with my 7mm Tombi - 9 hits and 1 miss. The red dots are two shots from another bloke.
The gong is 200mm in diameter. Next time I will move it to 550 meters.

Oh, no question about that. Just wondered if you had any idea what ruined what had the potential of developing into a beautiful 100mm 10 shot group at 500 yards.
It's a curiosity born of years of competitive shooting - nothing more.

The wind was picking up slightly. So, it was a case of FearTheWind during the last two shots of which one missed the gong.
Usually I do not make shots this far at game. I would rather stalk and get closer and make absolutely sure to kill with one snot.
