While the deer and shot my not be impressive to most, it was pretty special to me.
I have always just been a waterfowler and never taken the time to deer hunt. I decided this year was the year to bag one. Over the course of this past year I bought myself a rifle setup and some reloading equipment, read more of this forum than any one man should and practiced quite a bit.
I worked up a load using Sierra GameKing 165gr bullet using 43gr of h4895 in winchester brass.
Long story short, I bagged my first deer. Made the shot at just a touch over 300 yards.
