Is it possible to tell what year a shotgun was made by the stock?

Here is a pic of the stock that was on the shotgun I got today. I have no idea what year it may be from. My boss said he has had it at least 10 years and it had a previous owner b4 him. Does anyone know how old and what kind of wood it might be?

Its actually between 1970-79 Remington Wingmaster. I converted it to my HS shotgun (I know I know) I didnt know the value or history behind the gun and I really only bought it for the action because I had spare 870 parts.

I was told the stock is high grade black American walnut and the stock has the Fleur de lis on it and that made it special in some way. The last time a stock was offered like this was on the 100th Anniversary wingmaster. I actually listed the stock on Ebay and actually has a few hits. Ill be happy to just make back the $100 I spent on the shotgun itself. Maybe ill get more which will fund my scope for my 7mag
