As soon as this hunting season is over, it is new barrel time for my .280 AI. I mostly shoot ABLR 168 but there are a few other bullets in that same weight range I might try. What is the ideal twist? Not sure who I'm going to go with for a barrel, maybe Proof, maybe Lilja, both are local-ish and seem to produce high quality stuff.

My 1-10 Lilja 22" loves the 150ABLR so 1-9 should put you in the sweet spot for a little heavier...? Much more than that and too much bullet is taking up powder space IMHO. I am sure many guys here will have expert science for you.

You could run a 1:1 twist barrel and not take up powder space .
