Idaho unit 42 deer hunt

A friend of mine son drew a unit 42 deer tag and I would like to get some idea where in the unit to hunt. The boy is 15 and he has never killed a buck. He is a good shot and has good equipment. Any help would be appreciated. Ross

That unit is pretty good size so he should have spent the summer looking. Years ago I have had success south of Juniper Mountain. There are bucks everywhere depending. Wait as late as you can. Try not to get lost on the flat stuff when those big snow storms blow through. :-> Good luck...42 used to be a good unit late.
