Rifle History: The rifle was purchased new at the beginning of the pandemic by my close friend, Jon. It was chambered in a 264 Winchester Magnum to shoot the new generation of 6.5 bullets at a much faster muzzle velocity. My friend contracted cancer and I purchased the rifle from his estate. I began load development only to find the 264 barrel was toast at about 700 rounds. I had Jim See from Elite Accuracy re-barreled and re-bed it in January, 23 in a 300 Win Mag. I worked up about a ½ MOA load with Berger 208 Hybrids and H4831sc; Jim See during test firing had even better luck with H1000. I'm up to my lips in H4831 and couldn't find H1000 to save my life, so I haven't verified it. The rifle loves heavies but shoots really well with even off the shelf Barnes 180 monos. I'm 67 and have a Elite Accuracy 300 Win that shoots as well and weighs 13 pounds scoped, so unfortunately this rifle has to go. I also have Schmidt & Bender PM II 5X25 by 56 with rings that I'll sell for $3000.
