Howdy! Not very good at talking about myself but here's my best shot. I just now joined as have been looking for a forum like this for a while. From what I've seen thus far, it looks like I'm really going to like it here! I'm a disabled, retired (mostly) gunsmith in central Ky, ex competitor, general gun nut since I was big enough to hold the old Remington single shot bolt action rifle (model 514) up, and as soon as I demonstrated enough responsibility I was allowed to go hunting with it. That was a different era and being raised on a farm out in the sticks, we learned to be responsible at a very early age. I used to specialize in building custom, high end, precision, tactical, long range rifles, revolvers, and of course 1911s, and had my own 1 man shop over 30 years until being crushed between a truck (super duty ford) and the building. That pretty much meant the end of my career of doing anything and forced to give up my shop. I've since had several surgeries/fusions to spine, learned how to walk again, and getting back into it a bit. I always worked 2 jobs, and I never advertized whatsoever other than having business cards made, but stayed 6 months backlogged no matter how much I hit the shop, and even turned work away. I loved to compete, and have instructed people on safe gun handling/shooting/CCW classes/marksmanship/reloading, etc for YEARS. Would somebody PLEASE tell me how to get my pic & avatar loaded?
