Took some time away from the internet. I came back and over 1K alerts show up every 30 minutes or so. I have un-watched, ignored forum, anything I did six months ago to no avail. How do I get the alerts to stop and specific ones to start at my choosing?

Thanks for the reply. I have now every box I can find on preferences un-checked. I cleared alerts, and about an hour later I checked and I have 1076!!! Should this be an Administrator question?

Are you getting email alerts? Or push alerts for every post and reply?

Are you using Chrome?

Did you try to go to "EMail Options" in Privacy?
Sorry for delay, Yes and all are unchecked. The alerts I am trying to reduce are the ones that show up on the top right with the bell. There are so many no way I can sift through the ones I may be able to help or learn from.

No, I have all of those turned off. Using Duck Duck go. I'm trying to stop the alerts that show up on top right next to the bell icon.

Go to your "Account"

Go to "Preferences"

"Alerts page and summary settings"

"Receive a notification when someone…"
(There are many different types of getting a notification.)

Then you have the Option for "Alert" & "Push"

Un Check those boxes.
