How closely do Berger 7mm 168 target and hunting VLD shoot to each other?

Should velocity and load be the same, with the only real difference being a slight BC diff (.618 vs .628)? The diff in BC with my gun only impacts the calculated drop by 1.5" at 1000, so virtually no change at least in theory.

Can anyone with first hand knowledge chime in?

Yeah, math works. The BC's are very slightly different so the drops will be very slightly different. Both work fine for me for their assorted uses. They are not interchangable in the truest sense.

I can't speak for the 168s but I've done the 6.5 140 elite hunter and 140 vld to the same seating depth and have had them shooting virtually identical

I found some hunting VLDs in stock so this question isn't as relevant but good to know.
