Does anyone have any experience running a power case trimmer on a Hornady LNL press? Before I go too far down the rabbit hole on this and waste time and money I want to see if anyone has done this and if it was worth the effort. I have gone so far as to purchase a Lyman power trim die and the first hurdle is that when properly sizing brass it is so low in the press there is not enough exposed threads for the locking ring on the top of the press and standard locking rings are too thick to use under the top plate of the press. I am sure there are further issues that I have yet to encounter. I plan to contact Lyman today to see if they have a solution.
My goal is to process lots of .223 for matches and training but not sure if this is the right way to proceed. I am looking at mounting either of the Mark 7 trimmers.
