Hoping to hunt AZ. next fall!

Sent off Arizona Antelope and Elk tag's the other day. Applyed for Pinetop unit for Elk,2C for 'lopes. Haven't hunted in AZ for almost forty years, time really flies.

Sounds like better odds for elk tag's, but honestly I'd be happy with either one. Anybody who'd
chime in with current info on the Pinetop Unit, your help would be appreciated.

Pinetop is in 3b its not as popular of a unit as 3a/c to the west or unit 1 to the east but is a good place for late season hunts. Its primarily winter ground for elk in unit 1 and 3a/c. I would start in the area that transitions from Ponderosa Pine to Pinyon Juniper. Good luck there is no bad unit in AZ, tag a monster!
