For sale is a Hoover Meplat Trimmer for .224 caliber bullets. The trimmer was used on one bullet only and I just decided it's not going to do much for me, so I'm selling it.
It was really a curiosity type purchase, I just wanted to see what one was.
As I said, the trimmer is new, other than trimming one bullet. It comes with the body, cutter, manual turning handle, stand and the optional power adapter. (The adapter has never been used). You can buy other body's to use it for other calibers.
If you are not familiar with the trimmer, not only does it trim meplat's, it is a really great bullet sorter also. You simply put one of the jaw's of your caliper in the slots on the trimmer, put the bullet in the front of the trimmer, then close the other caliper jaw onto the base of the bullet. Makes sorting very fast and easy.
The trimmer sells for $150 and the power adapter is $45, I'll sell both, shipped for $135. I will accept most forms of payment; PayPal (F&F, or +3%), Postal Money Orders, or personal checks (ship when cleared-has been taking one or two days).
As a side note. I mounted the trimmer with a treaded adapter that screws into a drilled hole in the table. Then I used a threaded knob thing to hold it in place. (It's the black round thing on the bottom of the red stand.) Worked very well. I'll be happed to throw in a few of the threaded adapters and the threaded knob thing if the buyer would like them. I had to buy a large pack of them.
Please write with any questions.
Thanks for looking!
