Holster modification

I butchered a bianchi for a j-frame with a reddot.....

What's wrong with that? Looks perfectly acceptable to me. Seriously, looks good to go.
 
I ordered a mounting plate this weekend for the HK45. I watched a couple of videos on holster work, and it looked fairly simple to trim, bevel, and smooth the edges. It always looks simple by watching people that know what they're doing, but what have I got to lose. If it works, I will post it. Otherwise, I'll lick my wounds, throw it in the trash and pull out my wallet to buy one that will work.

IIRC, rub some vegetable oil on the the exposed untanned areas to darken them up and give them some protection.
