No the 260 is a short action based on the 308

Thanks I'm totally familiar with a .260 rem some build them on long actions to use the heavier
vld bullets seated ahead of the case neck shoulder junction to stay out of the donut.
By doing so the SA mag well is too short depending on what bullet the rifle is throated
for. Very nice rifle!

I've only shot a few boxes of factory Federal through the gun a few years ago. Never started load development for the 260 Ackley. I've become more of a Varmint Hunter and shoot another Darrell Holland 700 in 223 Holland.
