I only had it 8' up on the tree for demonstration purposes, but the one I field tested on a barrel feeder a few months ago was over 10' above the ground and it was probably the ideal height. The camera didn't capture the full illuminated area, but it will provide plenty of light in an area of approx 20'+ when mounted 10' high. Any hog within 15' of the feeder will be well illuminated for a shot through your favorite day scope.
