I have a 375 CT single shot built on a Lawton 8000 that I bought in 2007. Everything has been fine over the years until today when I took it out to inspect it (it had been sitting in its case for a few months). When I inserted the bolt to dry fire it the trigger would not pull and it seems like the safety is not disengaging. Attached are some pictures showing the problem and the action. Have any of you that have owned Lawton 8000 experienced this type of problem before? How did you fix it? I believe it is a Jewell trigger.
