hello, i am a newbie to long range shooting, but i have been hunting my whole life. recently i have got the bug to stretch my effective shooting range out a little further. currently i feel comfortable out to 400 yds. with my current rifles, but was hoping to push it out a little further. right now i am leaning towards the savage lrh in 6.5x284. almost all of the big game rifle i do anymore are for blacktails, typically i f i am chasing mulies or elk i am archery hunting. gotta say that this site is awesome and there is a wealth of knowledge on here especially for a new guy. thanks, chris
