Hey guys/gals,

As the title suggests I hail from Central Victoria in Asutralia.
Its about 3 hours drive from some of the countries best Alpine Sambar deer area's.
And the local area around here is swarming with various species of Ferals/Varmint.

Recently gained my long-arms license, looking for a decent long-range/varmint rifle.
I have my sights set on a Savage 12 LRPV - still unsure as to what port model I want (DBM, dual-port, or lefty....), chambered for the .22-250REM.
And topped with a decent variable scope.

Any suggestions you could share would be great.
Basically looking to plink rabbits/foxes and paper at range.

Thanks guys.

Welcome, glad to have you here. Lots of good folks and lots of good info. Enjoy.
