glue on recoil pad

suggestions for a glue on pad needed for my lt wt rem 700 30-06 mountain rifle, putting an mpi stock on it so it needs to be glue-able and grind-able

also, what glue do you all use to glue it to the "foam" fill on an mpi stock?

I used a two part epoxy on a High Tech stock to glue the pad on with.
It has been on for about 10 years, so I guess it worked.

anyone used one of the ultralight hastings micro-cell pads? how well do they absorb recoil compared to a limbsaver?

lisa at mpi said to just use bedding epoxy to glue it on, or to bed in a thin piece of wood to screw one to--they use 1 of 2 pads: pachmar and Hastings microcell

anyone have the hastings ultralight microcell pad? anyone?
they come in 3 thicknesses .6", .9", and 1.3"
