Im selling a great "Old School" dual knife in one sheath set that was made in the late 60's early 70's. These blades were mine and used for over 25 years. They are in excellent condition as is the sheath. The knives are sharp and ready for another 25 years of hard hunting...

These old blades were made by Gerber Knives back in the day when the were known as Gerber Legendary Blades of Oregon...The condition of the knives is an indication of how well they were made 50 years ago, and the care I took with them.

This exact set in a lot worse condition consistently sell for $285-$350 to people who know the quality of these blades.

In a perfect world, my hope would be that this set would go to a young hunter who's ready to start learning to field dress their animals...I had another set with light silver handles that was my brothers that already sold.

The small knife is called "Pixie" and the larger blade is "Flayer". The all leather sheath has always been cared for and treated with leather oil to maintain its shape and ability to hold the knives inside.

Selling for $225 TYD...This is a hard price and won't be lowered. No trades, please.

Payment: Preferred is PayPal F&F (any fees from PayPal are on you, so I net $225) USPS Money Order or Bank Cashiers Check is gladly accepted...Shipping will be USPS Priority Mail once funds are received...I have several "Good Guy" ratings, so buy with confidence. Thanks, Beaver10

Joseph,Thanks!...
I actually would, if we had kids to pass them on. No kids, and I actually wanted to have some say in what happens to certain pieces of my hunting gear.
Like I wrote, it would be cool if the knives went to a young hunter. No guarantee in that, but for me it's better to sell the offer, than have my stuff parted out when I'm gone by individuals that are clueless about the things I had. Worse yet, my stuff ending up in a yard sale...Laffin. I got my use outta them. On to the next generation.

Yup...It's how business goes. Sell off a great company/manufacturer to a large consortium where bean counters immediately start breaking down costs and cutting corners to drive a fast bottom line improvement.
Name recognition alone only lasts so long. Eventually, the smart move on to better made products and talk about the old days when XYZ company's product used to be the thing to own.
