Have a new Zeiss HT, 3-12x56 scope with the illuminated dot and the rail system for sale. Bought this one a few months ago from Alex at EuroOptics and it had to be ordered from Germany. It is brand new and other than being mounted on a rail mount and tried out on the R8 for viewing purposes you're getting a new scope. It'll come with the factory box and everything that came with it. The scope list for $2833.95 on Maddog's GB auction. Alex doesn't show this model on his website and it was a special order when I bought it.

I am asking $2450 plus shipping for the scope. I will take paypal but the buyer will pay the cost.

Zeiss rail mounts that fit Weaver and Pitcatiny bases are available from several retailers. EuroOptics has them for $139.00. Makes for a very clean mounting system.

I'll add some pics tomorrow but it is 'new' other than having been checked out here at the house. Put on a rifle for comparison but no rounds fired under it. Warranty card comes with it.

Here is the Maddog auction: (he does have the wrong red dot pictured with the scope - see picture below)

Re: FS Zeiss HT 3-12x56, illuminated w/rail system

Got some pics taken yesterday. Have a bunch more. PM me your email if you'd like them sent to you.

Also price drop to $2350 plus shipping and insurance. Have some other things that need to get done.

The last picture shows the scope with the Blaser Quick Detach mount on a Blaser R8 professional. The mount is a loaner and does not go with the scope.
Thanks

Adding a picture of the Zeiss mounts that are used to mount these scopes to regular Weaver or Picatinny bases. These are available from EuroOptics, SWFA as well as most Zeiss retailers.

There are two mounts with each one having 2 'stops' that fit inside the rail and anchor the mount in place on the scope. You simply place them where your Weaver bases are and loosen the large nut to drop them over the Weaver base and tighten like you would any other QD mount. Should you decide to later move the scope to another rifle you simple loosen the two stops in one or both mounts and move them to where they fit the new rifle and tighten them up. This system eliminated crushed scope tubes and nasty ring marks. This is far cleaner, neater and more professional than the traditional ring mounting system that American scope makers insist on using. I don't know of any rifle that will not accept Weaver style bases whether they're the cheapie lightweight Weavers or the heavier steel Weaver Grand Slam, Burris or Leupold models.

FWIW Zeiss has their own rail mounting system as does Swarovski and Schmidt & Bender. The patent on Zeiss has run it's course so it's in use by Meopta, Minox and other European brands.
