Listing this one for my brother who bought it from an eccentric friend of ours. This rifle originally started out as a 338 RUM, but was sent off when new to R.W. Hart for an action truing, rebarrel and rechamber to the 338 Hart (338-300 RUM). The barrel is a Hart barrel in a Sendero Countour with interrupted fluting and a Hart brake. Our friend wasn't happy with the 338 Hart (didn't want to play with the 300 RUM brass), so sent it back to Hart to have the chamber set back to a regular 338 RUM. The chamber stamp on the barrel was never changed. He also had the airbrush work added on around this time.
The rifle also had Hart one piece rings, Leupold VX-III 8.5-25x50 LR scope with duplex reticle, a Sako extractor installed, and the factory trigger reworked to around 2.5# I believe.
Overall, the rifle has had maybe 60 rounds through it. My brother didn't have the desire to shoot long range as much as he thought he would. It got sighted in and took a black bear back in 2010. It has sat in the safe since coming back from the trip.
If I missed anything, just ask. I also have a similar rifle in 300 RUM that I'll be listing.
There is brass/bullets/dies available. Will get back with a count on them.
Asking $2600 for the rifle/scope.
