Custom Marlin 1894 44 mag/spcl. This is a JM stamped barrel Marlin. The barrel has been professionally shortened to 17". The tube has also been shortened and holds 7 rounds. You shortened the barrel...okay. But why did you have the mag shortened as well? Just to save weight?

save weight, and I like the look better than a full length tube. I was wanting a compact saddle gun for mtn. lion hunts, even though it hasn't been on a hunt.
