Any of the members have rifles with either diamond fluting or spiral hex? I want to try a carbon build but I'm torn on the idea. My build is a 6.5prc. I'm currently thinking maybe a 24" varmint Bartlein with some type of fluting as this will be a hunting rifle. I'd like to keep as much barrel as possible to take advantage of the PRC but maybe fluting would cut off some ounces to make it more of a hunting type rifle. In my younger days I'd go HV @26-28" in a heart beat. Now that I'm older that's fine for bench shooting but that's about my extent. I acquired the pic online of the spiral hex type fluting but there's not a lot to go on. Thanks
