Just finished my first Florida turkey hunt and had an absolute blast. Didn't tag one but I did learn those things are elusive critters. Being a Tennessee fella and used to hunting easterns I was not fully prepared to peruse a bird that only gobbles once or twice on the limb then goes silent on the ground. Another thing I didn't realize was how badly my slate would be affected by the humidity. It is definitely diaphragm call county. Again though it was an absolute blast and the campground we were in was at least 80% military veterans. So it was a chance to sit around in the evenings and BS in a familiar almost family atmosphere. If any on here were hunting Green Swamp and camped off 471 we were the grey F150 with matching shell.
